The Class 145 electric locomotive was developed from the late 1990s onwards by ADtranz (later Bombardier Transportation) for freight transport in Germany. It belongs to the first generation of the modular TRAXX platform.
TRI’s 145 040-2 corresponds to the early TRAXX F140 AC1. Initially used by DB Cargo, it was later fitted with the ‘local transport package’ for Expo 2000 services. From 2018, it was part of the RBH fleet and was sold to TRI in 2024. Since 2025, the locomotive has been used in front of TRI’s passenger trains in the TRI livery.
